It wouldn't hurt - at the very least you could get friends and possibly co-workers to read it.

Yes, but you need a following on facebook and they have to be willing to click on the link. Also try twitter with a link, as long as you are posting something worth reading to others they will link over. Also you have to give it time traffic does not come over night.

First post your article in top rank article site, then go through to facebook,its give more traffic
