A guy I met last August who I lost contact with a while ago has now got Facebook, I don't know if I should add him because I don't want to look weird adding him. Should I add him?

Go ahead and add him! That one of the things Facebook is used for. Whats the worst that could happen he declines the add? or he asks how you found him? (in which case fabricate a story)
