I've seen people with a cellphone icon instead of the green dot and I thought mine was like the others, but it turns out my contacts see me online all the time, how can I change that? I'm using the facebook messenger app and my phone is a Galaxy Note II

because the app is still running, even when you arent using it

put ur chat as turn off...

Because your Signed Into the App But Not Using it When you Close the App you Are Still Signed in and There For you Are Still Online

It's because you are signed into the app even though you're not using it and close the app, you are still signed in and appear online.
