Well there's seesmic which is like an app you can get either for your desktop or mobile platforms. I believe tweetdeck works like that also. Flock is a browser designed specifically for social media using mozilla.

I would recommend Todaypulse. It combines Twitter, Facebook and WordPress, plus a lot of other sites for searching.. http://todaypulse.com
