Facebook doesn't embarrass anyone. The people who post too much information and inappropriate pictures embarrass themselves.
Facebook doesn't force people to post these things; they are done because people don't think of the consequences of their actions. How many teachers were fired because of some drunken posts or pictures that happen to have been seen by students' parents? How many other jobs were lost because employees told the world how "stupid" their bosses are? How many homes were robbed because every leg of their vacation had to be posted to their status?
No...Facebook isn't at fault. People need to be educated (or use common sense) about what is and isn't OK to post.
