I know that when I add someone on facebook, on their wall (hence on her friend's news feed) will show that I have become friends with her. Can I disable letting other people know who I became friends with.. As in.. is there a way where I can not let other people in HER news feed to see I became friends with her?

No there is no option for that. you can control only your own privacy on your news feed.
