My facebook chat won't go offline?!? Please help? - Drizzy - 08-07-2013 06:29 AM

Ok, so my chat will not go offline!! People see me online 24/7 even if I'm not on Facebook!!! What's going on? I tried disabling the chat on my laptop and my iPod touch, but people still see me online! Last night I got a message from my aunt saying "What I'm still doing up late at night??" and I told her my Facebook chat won't go offline! One of my friends said I'm always on Facebook and he laughed! How can I fix this? I tried contacting Facebook, but they didn't do anything! I also tried logging of on every device and still didn't work! This is annoying, because it just stays at a green dot, instead of a phone icon and it makes me look like I'm addicted to Facebook. It will not go offline even if I shut down my computer or my iPod! This is not a joke question. I like did everything, I turned off the chat sidebar on my laptop, and my iPod touch. It even says on the sidebar"Turn on chat to see who's available" I also tried deactivating my account, and it still keeps me online!! Even while my account is deactivated my facebook is still online!! How can that be even possible? I will still appear online on the chat sidebar with a default picture, but of course people can't see my profile or message me. I don't have more then one account! I'm not hacked or anything! Please help???

Maybe you're logged in on a laptop or computer somewhere that you forgot about on your house, or public. You should post on Facebook: "anyone know how to turn off the chat? It's always saying I'm online!!" That way they know that you aren't always online and maybe someone may be a little more helpful than I, and know how to fix it.
