can the friend of my friend on facebook see a message i sent him/her. i know that if u r not friends with someone and u message them it rarely gets seen because it doesnt pop up in notification does that apply to this too

only if the friend to whom you sent the message shows or forwards the message to the friend of your friend.
Messages sent through F/B are like emails and can only be seen by the persons sending and receiving the message. There are no other privacy setting that allow messages to be shared.
If it is a post that you made on the other persons page, then yes, it is visible.
...and just because you've deleted a private message on you end, that does not mean it is deleted on the receiving end.
