i recently obtained twitter , and would like to know if its possible to set a beeping sound whenever I may receive a tweet ( much like blackberry messenger -you always know when someone is online cos it beeps first . If so, how do I go about setting up this , so I would know when im being tweeted .

You can set email or sms notifications on different events in Twitter. Just go to Twitter account settings and update email and phone notifications.
On your mobile you can choose different sounds/beeps on SMS or email events.
