A member quit and I was trying to remove her information from the page but every time I tried to it redirected me to the page and with a red banner at the top which says "Update failed because the About section is too long".

I tried to take out one word in the "Short Description" just a moment ago and am getting the same flag. I have no idea what's going on.
So, it's not too long until if I leave in the word,but take it out and it's too long. FB makes sense ... said no one ever.

I have had the same problem. Perhaps it is Facebook since you posted it right before I did.

I had the same problem. It has to do with new Facebook rules regarding the "short description" section. You have to get that under 170 characters.
