can facebook chat be turned off??? it keeps going online when i dont want it to, or if im just going on for lk a second and dont really have time to talk to anyone. i dont want ppl to be messanging me when im working. plz help? thank you

Yes, you can turn your chat off permanently. When it's open, click the symbol in the top corner of the chat window. Your settings will be in there for turning off who can see you.

Press the tool shaped logo when you open the tab to see who's online and click turn off chat. You will be able to surf the site without being showed online. The same steps work with mobile facebook.
