That's not rude, but they just might not be interested in talking to anyone, or mate you're a boring person. Or possibly, you bug them too much?

I would consider it rude but if they are not on there phone to much they may be being truthful. Like me :3

Don't give people more attention than they give you. Simple.

If they don't answer back then don't answer back and be indifferent. Don't ask them why they didn't answer, act as if you don't care. Sometimes you've got to be little mean to people so they respect you. If you act like a puppy dog they will hardly be interested in chatting with you.
