Like if were a status or a comment. Does the user get a Facebook notification showing that something they posted was marked as spam. How does Facebook go about this?

Hi,
While report the facebook ask you, whether you want to let the person know with a personal note or not... If you don't want to notify the person then choose the other option.
If you report comments, it will automatically hide from the comments, the owner can recover the comment by clicking on 'not spam' option.
