Is it weird to add someone I met through work on facebook? - Emily - 08-12-2013 01:41 PM

Soooo I met a guy today who was a customer where I work. About my age, super nice, fun to talk to, and great personality. He's new to the area (moved here from the other side of the country) and is staying with his brother until he meets some people and has a place of his own. If we really hit it off, would it be weird to send him a friend request on facebook? I don't want to seem like a creeper or anything since he never really said "look me up on facebook", but at the same time he seems like he'd be a fun person to hang out with. Plus if he doesn't know really anyone in the area, maybe he'd be cool with it? Idk........what do you think? Should I go for it?

Yeah add him, he will be pleasantly surprised, no harm done in trying at all

Well, I think you should get to know him a little more before you add him on Facebook. If you guys get to know each other more it won't be as wierd.

It's Facebook. Add anyone you like. (But not the random friend requests whose messages talk about viewing their sexy pictures or financial advice, etc.)

You can always de-friend them if it all turns out banjaxed, right? That said, he careful what and how much you share with people you don't know. You can de-friend him but of he has your phone number or address you're really screwed of he turns out to be a walking freakshow.
