One of my friends liked a page the other day, but that didn't show up on my newsfeed like it usually does when someone likes something ( ______ liked ____ ), I just saw it when I went on his profile, in the recent activity box... :\ Is there an option to do this or what?

The icon that shows 'friends' with a tick mark beside it...click on it....it shall give a pull down menu...with the option....
Show in news feed
Get notifications
Block etc.
Click on GET NOTIFICATIONS to know about each activity of the person.
With increasing number of friends, only select activities of a person are shown in news feed...to know all, u need to make setting for getting notifications.
