do you think people on facebook try to impress others? - chubbySamurai398 - 08-15-2013 01:15 PM

I don't know why people on facebook react super cool when they update statuses like
1.had a best moment with my friends,
2.updating about some sports while winning or losing,
3.arguing in comment box,
4. saying they have visited some place that was awesome,
i feel like they are enjoying their life every moment. even i meet my friends and visit some places, but those moments were not that much awesome though as updating on facebook, i just cant lie on facebook but how could these people have such kind of statuses are they really mean it, if you meet your friends or visit some places do you really feel like you are enjoying life.
by looking all these i just deleted facebook i am not going to use it any more. since it leads me to think about people who are enjoying their life , which is not happened in my life..

What people mostly do in Facebook is:

1.Show off
2.Impress others
3.Make others jealous
4.Want to be famous
5.Try to make them cooler than others and lots more.

I agree with dibya. When normal people have nothing to show off in the real world, their only alternative is the virtual world.

Personally, I post my artwork on facebook every couple weeks. Not for attention, but because it's what people know me by. I do it mostly for them because they enjoy seeing it and I like seeing the positive feedback. But I never brag about it or whore it out. Since I am in college now, the only way my back-at-home friends will see anything I do is through facebook, and vice versa when I'm back at home for a break. And my art friends do the same thing.

But I agree some people try way too hard to impress the people in their friends list, and all they post is trashy arrogant like-whore material garbage.

i think there are lots of people doing fb bt all those are not same... I am a good student, I use fb for to get contact with my elder brother. Otherwise for me it's waste of time

98% of the people use it for show-off or satisfy themselves in virtual world by something that's not possible in real world.
only 2% actually use it to keep in contact with distant family or friends...

Now a days facebook serve that purpose only.
