Does Facebook ever show an incorrect current location? Is it possible for you to be logged into Facebook from a specific location, but the location shown on Facebook states that you're in a nearby city?

Yes facebook does that sometimes you may have to set your location setting to the City or state

When you post something on facebook or chat with someone and if you have the location button on it will show where you are...
It sometime shows a nearby city when it can't find the city you are in or if the city doesn't exist...

Nope
