It depends on what u want ...
1] If u want to directly interact with people and pages then facebook.com is best ! (750,000,000 monthly users)
2]If u r quit famous (celebrity or something) OR u r fan of someone then twitter.com (250,000,000 monthly users)
3] professional - linkedin.com (110,000,000 monthly users)
4] share pictures, videos and music - myspace (70,500,000 monthly U ) little bit same as facebook
n there r many more like Pinterest , google +, etc. BUT ABOVE ALL IS FACEBOOK
