Do people hack your Facebook account when you apply for a job? - Devillicious - 08-18-2013 02:05 PM

I heard that they do. I don't do anything bad, I just have weird convos with my friends. So do they?

I don't think they "hack" into it, however, if an employer is curious about you they could look on your page and try to get more info about your hobbies and the type of people you hang out with. For example, if you have tons of party pictures or if your page is all family photos and kitties. I think it's always best to keep your page on private and be selective about who you add. In the long run somebody is always going to have a friend of a friend who can access your page and show whom ever they please... There is always somebody watching.

You see, your are partially right. when you apply for a job, they are by law allowed to look all over your Facebook profile. They don't necessarily hack into your account, The government lets them in.

Also, dont bother deleting anything, they can view deleted material as well.

Good Luck!
