I reside in india.I recently bought a domain javaapps.eu for my site but my friend told me only European residents can keep .eu domain.is it true?

yes that's true. better disband it and search an .com or anything.
the .eu registerers are connected to the union's council monitors, and they can precisely see who bought the eu. domain,
once they notice your web comes from india, they simply bring the website offline.
so change to another domain
