Does Facebook notify you when you download a copy of your data? - Eliise Yeahh - 08-19-2013 12:55 PM

I know your probably thinking .. Why would it matter ? But i want to download a copy of my boyfriends. I don't want to hear things like 'that's wrong, you should trust him etc' because I KNOW he goes behind my back, I've had his pw for quite some time .. And recently discovered things id rather not. He constantly talks to girls but deletes the messages, I usually find them before they get deleted though. So I want to download a copy of his fb data so I can see the ones he gets even if he deletes them. So I want to know, would fb notify him considering it's his account, when I download a copy of his fb data ? Or can I do it without him knowing ? Also .. Is there ANY possible way to retrieve deleted messages?! Not archived, deleted .... Thanks guys ! X

From the facebook help site:

"When you download your information, we require you to confirm your identity before you can complete the process.

"First we send an email to the email address that's listed on your Facebook account to ensure that you initiated the process. Once you receive the email, you will have to re-enter your password. If you are using a public computer or one you do not use regularly, you may also have to solve a friend photo captcha or an SMS captcha via your mobile phone.

"Warning: This file contains sensitive information. You should keep it secure and take precautions when storing, sending or uploading it to any other services."

Doesn't matter though - deleted messages don't show up in the download.
