Well, there are many countries that only allow 'state-run' broadcasts on TV and radio. Some examples are China, Iraq, Iran, etc (probably other Muslim countries as well like Saudi Arabia). They also block their 'subjects' (they are NOT citizens) from most Western websites. One can't even Google a topic if one lives in such a country. Such governments DO NOT WANT their subjects to express free speech or see and hear anything that contravenes with the propaganda that they shove down peoples' throats. Sad to say, but even Singapore has this problem. (I just happen to know a woman who lives in S'pore - and they will EXECUTE you if you so much as spit on a sidewalk. You HANG for such 'crimes'. I ain't going there, I can tell you that ;-)

One of the greatest problems of the social media is the constant perpetuation of an ideal body type. In terms of the ideal body type, the media constantly advertise women as model then and men as athletic and muscular. These images are everywhere, on billboards, magazines, television, etc, and women and young men alike become so self-conscious and aspire to look a way that is unnatural to their bodies and maybe unattainable. The media advertisement of these ideal body types creates insecurities in young children and adults.
