FaceBook Hacker Help Request? - Kristof Law - 08-22-2013 09:41 AM

Hello community.

This morning I was on FaceBook for a short time checking my notifications and was about to respond to a friends post when I was booted from the place.

I was taken to a login screen and was told that a login attempt from a suspicious (as I have not logged in from Houston ever) location.

I was wondering if there were any advice on how to locate who is attempting this. I have no friends from the area and have no idea why someone from so far away from where I am would do this.

??????

Change your password! Seriously, change it! There's no way I know of, that allows you to actually track down to where they are exactly! Change your password to something more complex, be careful of what websites you go on, programs/files you download, Use common sense! Get an anti-virus program aswell and scan your computer!

You know there is no motive. Why make the assumption. Someone could of just got there username wrong , I know for a fact there are 2 emails on Hotmail only one digit difference to mine.

So they got the email wrong and then of course the password, from an Internet Cafe or something. I think that is a reasonable explanation, perfectly plausible.

There is not way to find out anything anyway. It only happened once right? people make mistakes. It only said suspicious because it doesnt know the area. How can that be suspicious thats Nasa isn't it? I trust those guys more than FB ( :

Of course change the PW. But there is no need for paranoia, hysteria, just because FB says the word suspicious.
