What's wrong with that? At least they aren't becoming brainwashed into believing they are popular for having a thousand friends they can't even name.

It may be that they just understand the potential downside of exposing their life on the Internet.
Not really snooty at all.
People are getting fired from jobs from information developed off of social networking websites.
When you put something on the Internet, you loose control of the picture or information for the rest of your life (even longer than that).
