Why do I get a notification when someone updates their status? - Cornilius - 08-24-2013 12:30 PM So I clicked on my notifications on Facebook and it said "so and so updated her status..." I checked the status and my name wasn't tagged in anything. I don't think I'm subscribed to her and I looked to see if we were close friends and were not. Lol could she have done something on her Facebook ?? P.S; I don't know if this has anything to do with it but, on my chat list, she's one of my favorites ,, I have about 9 ppl as a favorite and she's the only one that shows up?!? Can someone explain this lol - abraXus - 08-24-2013 12:44 PM you probably added that person as a "close friend" if you dont want those notifications, then remove them from your "close friends" list - Kiran Bokati - 08-24-2013 01:00 PM You must unfriend that person. - Cassie - 08-24-2013 01:02 PM If the person is not a Close friend, another answer could be that you have manually checked "Get notifications" from this friend. Try: - Go to the friend's timeline - Hover your mouse over the Friends button - If "Get notifications" is checked, uncheck it |
