How to tag an activity 'with someone' in a facebook message? - AnotherAuthor - 08-25-2013 06:51 AM

Hi, quick question: How do you tag a post so that it comes up with:
Fun dinner tonight - with John Smith and 10 others.
The '- names' part is normally in grey text.

I can't figure out how to get the 'with' option. Help?

that isnt done in a message, that's done in a a status update

start typing a status using your computer, and then before you post it, click the little button below it which looks like a plus sign and a person... then type your friend's name (they have to be on your friends list to do it)

I assume you're on a mac/computer.
Go facebook, login and navigate to your news feed (https://www.facebook.com/) and then click on the text bar where you "Update Status".
Enter what you want and click on an icon with a user and a plus (on the right side of the grey bar you have the post button on). Then enter the name of the people you want in the text box that pops up.
