my friends list is completely private, only I can see it. does anyone know if people can still see my recently added friends thing...I see them pop of for other friends sometimes, do they see mine?

It will show up in their side bar (above where you can see your online friends for chat). But they won't be able to see it in their news feed that you added such a new friend.
