Neither. They are completely different services. Facebook is a social networking website and whatsapp is a mobile messaging app. You can't compare them.

U can't campare that cos fb is world socail site and its very helpful to the people .
And whatsup is just a normal mobile apps.....
But only if u asking which one is best I must say Facebook is best

I prefer facebook as its popular and known by many people and use it but whatsapp not many people know about it
and facebook gives more features like games,comments,group,likes and 0.facebook.com which is free of charge on some selected opraters

Whatsapp is only for the mobile devices where facebook is for both the PCs and for the mobile devices.

As you know very well Facebook is an social networking site and what's up is an mobile messenger application you can not compare these two things because they are totally different.With face book you connect with any part of the planet but with what's you connect only those people who install what's up in your cell phone.
Many more differences are there in what's up and Facebook this is only the one difference.
