Would it be okay to add my teacher on Facebook? - LIVE LAUGH LOVE - 08-27-2013 08:47 PM

My teacher is leaving and moving to Australia, because we have a close bond he reassured me that we could keep in touch. He mentioned Facebook, emails etc. I would be more than happy to add him on facebook but I just wanted to know if it would get him into any bother or not? It's not like anything weird it s just he's my favorite teacher EVER and we get on really well. He's moving half way across the world so it's not like we could ever arrange to meet up or anything.Would it be okay?
Note: He was the one who suggested we add each other on facebook so obviously he is okay with it.
He won't be my teacher anymore.
Im under the age of 16 but am old enough to legally have a facebook account

Facebook is okay but not until he leaves because I'm pretty sure thats illegal

Hrm.... not really. First of all, if you do, all the things you post or whatever will get shown to him, your past teacher. Also, it's just unprofessional and a little disrespectful. I recommend simply getting his e-mail. Facebook is a bit much, and shows too much familiarity.

No it would not. That is his privacy you would be taking away from him. If he wants to be on Facebook, only he is allowed to put himself on. You could lose your account if you do.

As Long As He Is No Longer Your Teacher You Can Be Friends with Him On Facebook...
