They could sue you for some kind of Libel. But what you are doing is essentially fraud and that can carry a penalty too, because you are essentially impersonating someone else. And you would not be asking if A. You were not thinking about doing it. OR B. you had already done it, in which case this question is enough evidence to prove it. We are not as anonymous as people think on the net.

a lot of people do it, so i guess you can't really get in trouble. have you seen how many fake celebrity profiles are on facebook?

It actually is illegal. You would be charged with copyright infringement and invasion of privacy if the person decided to prosecute you. If you posted anything untrue about the person, that would add libel charges
