Health Care...Mittens says that the 'Market Place" will take care of people with "pre-existing conditions" how? - Beaver - 10-13-2012 06:29 AM

exactly will they take care of those?

1) Charge so much money and cover so little that the policy is esentially a total profit centre

2) Average the cost of care over the entire pool of clients and charge an average price to all

3) Have their "Death Panels" expain the facts of life to "those people"

4) Explain 'Social Darwinism" at the time of sale and point them at somebody else's Insurance Company

5) Point out that it is not really "their" faul that you are ill, so no hard feelings but F off.....

6) A plane ticket to Canada...First Class...one-way....

Similar to high risk pools of insurance for bad drivers in auto insurance.

this reminds me of one of the early scenes in pulp fiction where Jackson's character is asking travolta's character about how exactly he means "take care of her"... lol

Mitt Romney never said that. His campaign said that. He himself will not say that because he does not believe it or he is afraid of his right wing base.

The right wing base believes in free market fundamentalism. The market is always right and has already arrived at the right solution. If you did not like it, tough! Learn to live with it.

The Affordable Care Act takes a different approach. Insurance companies will accept all with pre-existing condition but there is a mandate for all to have health insurance. That is how the group insurance market works. That is how Governor Romney set-up the health insurance market in MA. For MA, it is working. Only fear of the right wing base keeps him from pointing that out.

By the way, high risk pools are already there in the states, thanks to the Affordable Care Act. They are a temporary measure until the all parts of the Affordable Care Act is in effect.
