Well, I made a profile (I like to call fan club) of Harry Potter on facebook and I added some "characters" that are in the books/movies. So today a person came to me and asked "Do you rp with me?" and I have not answered this question cuz I don't really know what he meant. However, it wasn't only today that I saw this kind of question, lately I've seen a lot of people ask in the timeline something like: "Any one care to RP with me?" or "Someone should rp with me?". I know that rp means Roleplay, but I didn't understand when that person asked me that. So I wonder, what does rp mean in this case?

Role Play, as in pretend to be a character and interact with that person as if they were a character.

Role play this is very commonly used in gaming there are many others such as FPS which means first person shooter and stuff like that
