Not only does it sort it out by your activity with people, but does it put people that view your profile frequently as well?
Coz there are a few people on there that i've never spoken to.. And is it different depending on using mobile or computer?

The chat bar shows the names of friends that you have recently contacted the most. It depends on the basis of person you have messaged or viewed that person's profile, not on that who have viewed your profile. Both mobile and computer uses the same factors.
