Any social media research topic ideas? - JG - 10-13-2012 07:04 AM

I'm doing a research project in the field of communications and we were asked to choose a topic to research. I am interested in social media or advertisements so I was wondering if the Yahoo! community had any cool ideas or things that they wonder about that I could research!

Thanks!

Hi,

I am a fourth year Business Management and Marketing student and had to do a literature review on a Social Media topic too last year. I chose to discuss its role in helping FMCG brands better understand their consumer needs. You can adjust it to anyother industry and there are some good sources I would recommend you to use for inspiration:

1. The Marketing Magazine-find it in the library or subscribe online.
2. Read articles and interviews with reputable CEOs from your industry of interest/research.
3. Check online communities of bloggers and other professionals-they also keep abreast with all the latest develpments in technology and social media and can give you some good examples of success stories.
4. Check marketing agencies' reports-EcoConsultancy, Experian and also Mintel Reports. Use statistics for evidence.

If you want to have a read through my article which involves the majority of my research work (I got the highest grade in classWink)) you are more then welcome to visit my blog and contact me for more tipsSmile

Look at how scam sites advertise through major websites with those fake "Trainers Hate Him"
