How to block someone from another country from harassing my family? - Sherry H - 08-31-2013 08:12 PM

I recently became friends with someone from India. He is now threatening me and my family. We communicate through what's app and through Facebook. I have blocked him on my Facebook but he says he is going to do something to my family members. I am not sure if he knows their names or not but I am really scared. He is even bringing his friends into it.

He is on the other side of the world. Not much he can do but attempt to spam/hack/cyber-bully you/your family members.

Depending on his amount of knowledge, and will-power, and the amount of precautions you/your family have taken to protect yourselves, there is not much he can really do but scare you.

I'd suggest you ensure that you and all of your family members block him and his friends. Also you should do some research about Facebook privacy settings, and make sure you are doing enough to protect yourself and your data.

It is actually surprising how much stuff you can learn about someone without even being a friend/mutual friend on Facebook. Many people have several tagged photos that are open to public as well as profile pictures which are all viewable by ANYONE. You have to remember that all of these comments are also... open to the public.
