Is it safe to put photos on Facebook? - Matt - 09-01-2013 09:28 PM

My MacBook is getting really cluttered up with stuff and I thought it would be a good idea to move practically all my photo albums over to Facebook and deleting them off of my MacBook.
If I lose access to my account I am worried that I will lose all of my family photos from the past 4 years.

It is safe to put videos and photos on Facebook but you would only be concerned about is people putting your pictures or videos onto sites like Google unless you adjust your settings before and after you upload them. Just Google or YouTube some information about it.

You could buy a memory stick or a CD to keep them on.

No it is not. If your account gets hacked which happens all the time you will mostly likely lose everything. Face is not a back up solution. I would buy a external hdd and put everything on there I would then keep my HDD somewhere else in case of a fire friends house or work. I would also look into on line back up services.
