Sent someone on Facebook a message and they've been active on Facebook but it doesn't say "seen" on the message I sent so I was just wondering why? They should have seen they have a message off me, right?

It onlt says seen if they opened the message, so they could know theyhave a message but not opened it. Also, maybe they're active but not actually on facebook, like they could have gone away for a while.

Facebook messages are very weird things. Sometimes it does not register that the person has read the message unless they click on the pop up. If it has been a while then the likely hood is that they have seen it but haven't replied

Just because they were active, your see the message but it doesn't mean that minute your read it does it.
