By online, I mean the green dot... not through my phone. Is there any way to fix that? Because it's really annoying when people message you all the time thinking you're online...
It's not the phone that's showing me online... it's the green dot that's always there, showing that I'm online through a computer.

Do you have an android facebook app? The app stays on in the background, which makes it look like you're on. Either sign out, or go to settings > apps > close the app when you're not using it.

This happens because when you close facebook application without signing out. And this also happens with me all the time. So don't keep your account singed in anywhere, neither phone nor computer. This will definitely fix your green dot problem..

I'm having the same problem. I put myself unavailable for chat but my friends still see me online all the time....Very annoying.
