It seems a bit ironic since Facebook is a social media website. It would be pointless to share a status intended for the individual his/her self

My guess is that some people like to add reminders and stuff to their timeline so that only they can see it but it will be there to see without the bother of putting it on a calendar or making a reminder, I have also seen it used to track some peoples entire day like they will post 30 or so ONLY ME statuses and can therefore remember their day from their statuses without annoying everyone.

Oh seriously I haven't noticed that thing.. That may be you may be post things that you like but don't want to show others..
