I want to tag myself in someone else's facebook photo and I understand that it will appear on the news feed but will it say that I have tagged myself in...photo or will it say I have been tagged in...photo?

Yes, it will say that, for example, if your name is Ann Ann - 'Ann Ann has been tagged in a photo'
It won't say that you did it on your own
