How does Facebook come up suggested post? - Green - 11-07-2013 07:56 AM

I was online searching products on the Home Depot website when i went to my Facebook i saw suggested post on my wall with the same products i was searching on the home depot website, this has happened before with other things as well. How does Facebook know what i am searching outside of there site especially since i haven't mentioned any of these products on my own face book?

The cookies that websites store on your computer, show where you have been and what you look at and then facebook takes these and uses them to post things that you were looking at or are likely to look at. Basically they take data from your browsing history to use for advertising.

Your browser remembers everything by the use of cookies and Facebook uses these cookies to give you ads for products you have been looking for or similar items.

If you don't want to get these "suggestions", you need to delete your cookies every time you search for something.
