I had a Facebook page back in 2010 and i permanently deleted it in 2012 i had 500 friends I do not get Facebook anymore... what is the point of it (Here come the hypocrite in me lol) I made one earlier today and tried to find people who i was previously friends with. It was successful but as i was adding people i thought why am i doing this i do not care about what these people post. what is your opinion on facebook and social networking sites???

facebook is good for staying in touch with people you were friends with 20 years ago in high school and other people who have moved away

Facebook is a waste of time, it's just as dangerous as Miley twerking.

Facebook is a time waster. I hate it. It IS useful, however, if you need to get in contact with somebody fast; chances are, they are on Facebook. Haha!

Same reason why e-mail is worth it. No one uses e-mail anymore everyone uses facebook to communicate. (aside from professional settings)

It's just an easier source of e-mail to me.

I think it depends on your personality. Like most people say, it can waste a lot of time, but if you have exceptional time management skills then perhaps thats not an issue. Still, there are other reasons why Facebook might not be worth using, such as the negative psychological effects like these http://deletefacebook.info/facebook-can-make-you-crazy-seriously/

In the end I think it depends on the person, individual personality traits and external factors like work, school etc.

Personally speaking I'd love to delete my account, but traveling and living abroad means it's my primary line to my friends and family in the U.S, so for the time being, I have to deal with some extra wasted time for the sake of connection.

If you're questioning why you're doing it, then you probably shouldn't be doing it Wink
