In Facebook, how do I keep a person as my friend but stop their information on my newsfeed? - Laura L - 11-08-2013 03:24 AM

It's not on my timeline. Their goings on in FB show constantly, every one on my basic newsfeed and I want to TURN it OFF for only THEM,so
I can just go to their page if I want to see what they are doing or putting on their timeline/NF etc...

There should be a arrow on the left side at the top of their posts, which you can choose if you want to hide one post or all of their posts.

On the top right bar it shows from right to left, a gear icon, a lock, your name and Home. Click on your name. Then, just below your cover graphic is a bar... click on Friends.

If you see that friend at the top of the list, great. If not, use the search box to type their name.
Below their name are two boxes. DESELECT [Following] and this should stop you from following all their posts in your feed.

THEN... if you wish to follow any of them, you can mouse over the [Friends] link instead and it will show you things you can do... to show them as close friends or just acquaintances, and put them in one list or another, and select WHAT kind of information you wish to see. That is where you can block anyone you find you have to block.

Slect that person and go to manage friend list. There you can control what you are asking for Smile
