Facebook asking for Government Issued ID? - Jays Thoughts - 11-08-2013 08:43 AM

Was that real? Did anyone else hear about this? Is it true they want to eventually have people only able to login with TouchID or some other biometrics, because that seems invasive to me.

they only ask for that when they detect you are breaking the rules by lying about your name or your age, or if you create more than one account

Facebook Asks For Government ID When They Detect That Something Suspicious is Going on Like if you Are Not Following There Terms of Service There Is No Way To Skip it It is Real

The terms of service are.. we are going to spy on you, mine, and sell your data. The idea that adhering to their agreement is just when it is itself unlawful to require someone to publicly testify against themselves (profiles have been used in court cases) is silly. Thinking that a corporation that exists to make a profit might be serving your best interest as an end user is just naive. They are the ones using you.
