On my RP account on instagram there is a girl that I'm great friends with. I want to know how to ask her to be my girlfriend kind of. I guess that is how you would say it. It isn't real I don't know how i'd say it.

Have you even met her in person? If not than you deffinitly shouldn't even be asking her out to being with.
Talk to her in person, maybe ask if she wants to see a movie with you on the weekend. Spend time with her and let her know you like her. Then once you guys have become close you can ask her out IN PERSON by telling her how much you like her & her buying her flowers or something.
