Can you track who posted a picture using data within that photo? - brandon gorst - 11-11-2013 09:38 AM

Say someone uploads a photo on the internet; is it then possible to find other photos that user may have uploaded from data within that photo/post?

There was an news article about how terrorists were pulling up US military photos that showed barracks and helicopters(anything valuable) they then opened the info to the photo and found the latitude/ longitude to the photos location. They then bombed those coordinates and damaged some of our stuff. So I don't know if it leaves a trace of the person who took it but I do know photos leave locations. Don't use this info to stalk, attack, or kidnap anyone please.
