So i made another account (fake account) so that I could access something online without letting all of my friends knowing only to realize that I cannot get back onto my old Facebook account now. I used the same email for the new fake account, is there any way to get my old account back?

Have you really created another Facebook account with the same email iD? Its not possible to make many account with your single email id.
And if you want to access your old account then simple answer the question and it will be re activated with in hours.

Dont Know How you Were Able to Create the Account as Once the Account has Been Registered Once it Can Not Be Used Again Unless you Permanently Deleted it And Than Made a new Account Either Way you Will Not Be Able to Return to your Old Account if its Registered Under that Same Email ID Because you Made a New One With the Same One

I don't think you can create two Facebook accounts with same email. If the other account has deleted then you can.
