I know you there is a setting to review them but I'm pretty sure that only stops it from turning up on your timeline but it still shows on newsfeed. Is there a way to stop this instead of having to always remove the tag on the photo?

You can't stop people from tagging you, but you change the settings to not let Facebook show it to others before you approve it.

Review not only stops them from turning up on your timeline but it also stops them to appear in newsfeed. And no, you cant stop people from tagging you

I don't think that you can stop people from tagging you on facebook.
