Someone told me that it can look like you're available on chat/online on Facebook when you get an instant message on the android app. That it logs you in and keeps you logged in until you read the message. Is there any truth to this?
Okay, maybe I was unclear. I mean, if you have the instant message app on your phone, will that affect how you appear to be online on Facebook (PC, not app) if you have messages you've not read.

The Facebook Messenger App for Android already does this.

If your Offline you Will Appear Offline if your Not Offline than it Will Show that you Are Online As Long as you are Signed In And Have Chat Turned On
