Question about facebook? - Josh - 11-16-2013 01:18 AM

When friends click the universal 'like' button, they just agree to the post, but not necessarily indicate great friendship? I hate it when someone I used to know clicked like buttons often but never talked to me.

if you dont like it, then maybe you should stop using facebook

Josh -

Why do you keep people on your friends list if you never talk to them and you hate when they like one of your comments or posts? If you don't talk to them, unfriend them; it's as simple as that. A like isn't supposed to indicate a great friendship; it's just a way of letting the poster know that you saw the comment. These people may not be great friends, but they are still reading your posts.

Facebook is social media. If you post something, you have to expect comments or even likes on that post. You have no control over others, but you do have control over what people see on your wall. If you don't want to unfriend these people (though I don't see why not because you say you never talk to them), set your privacy preferences so they don't see your posts.
